San Francisco City Hall Civil Wedding
When Stephanie reached out asking about capturing her wedding in City Hall, I immediately knew this was going to be a great couple to work with! Both she and Victor are world travelers and are planning a celebratory destination wedding, but they were so excited to get married that they didn't want to wait, and chose to get married in San Francisco as soon as possible. How cool is that??
I sent them both a pre-wedding questionnaire with some fun questions designed to get to know them and inspire some of the shots we were planning for the session. I've found that photo shoots go so much more smoothly when everyone is comfortable, so I like to get to know my couples early!
On the morning of the shoot, everything went smoothly and we had such a great time! We actually got pretty luck and City Hall was mostly empty, so we got some AWESOME pull-back shots that made it seem like we were the only ones there! Minimal photoshop required :-)
At one point while we waited for some crowds to clear, Victor noticed the beautiful clock up on the wall and suggested we get some photos there, since he loves to collect watches. Great idea! I got a few photos in the existing light, then decided to set up the off camera flash for a more adventurous shot. I love how it turned out!!
There was a slight delay while waiting for the actual civil ceremony, so we took the time to get some fun detail shots and try out some more adventurous poses, like this beautiful dip!
All through the day, it was easy to see the love between these two. They were open and engaging, very fun and easy to work with, and basically the perfect clients. Thank you Victor and Stephanie, and best of luck with your future! Here are a few final favorites below:
